I've spent a while looking at price lists today, following the 4/4 Sport thread.
So I'm just going to drone on a bit more.
Basically a bespoke 4/4 as I would spec it would be £38ish, equivalent +4 over £40k with £3k between.
Given the initial bite of depreciation on these, a comparable cost Plus8 looks better value, with better residuals.
I could get a new SC Elise for c£35k but with significant depreciation - so not much sense in that.
The next level is s/h 4/4 in the £25-£30k zone which could be played with for a bit more performance. I like the LM62's a lot. (Keith to note).
But a two year old SC Elise comes in at £25k - again with more depreciation than the Mogs and much less garage fun.
Then there's the Club thing - I don't see the Lotus forums as anywhere near as enjoyable as TM. I'll be going to a Lotus meeting at Donington in August to suss it out a bit more.
An unsolvable riddle at the moment. I would love to spec a new Mog, but I'm a Yorkshireman, so It's very hard.
