Sounds like the same piece. I suspect it all depends who you talk to at s&s and the mood they are in. I don’t think the part is that expensive so just easier to get it fixed. I am surprised so many of us has the same issue.


Maybe the same assembler did the work. Did it look like a 3/16" wide screwdriver was put on the back lip of the tensioner sprocket and used it for a lever to install the belt? At $210+tax and shipping it is not inexpensive part, but cheaper than taking it to a dealer and the hassle.
