If I recall correctly, Adrian Slade has a similar issue and fought MMC tooth and nail to get the problem solved. He didn't pay, but never explained. Perhaps he was gagged by MMC so he couldn't explain the details.
I think that started his disillusionment with Morgan, he tried a S1 Aero, but left the marque in the end.


One of the reasons I bought Tarka was that it had spent 9 months as a press car, after spending 6 months as a development prototype. Yes, it had a high mileage for a Morgan but it was sorted.
Or so I thought.
It went back to MMC 3 times to sort out the front N/S brake, the ATF heat exchanger leak and the failed switch pannel.
Since then it has (touch wood) been flawless, less trouble than the two Mercedes we have....!
