Well, that was disappointing. I have 3 Morgans at the moment which are due for insurance renewal mid May. So I rang up Peter James to see if the MSCC scheme was going be worth moving to and they declined to give me a quote because, given there are more than 30 days to run on two of the cars, they would then have to the quotes again nearer the time. Okay, I can see they are not going to make much out of what I'm expecting to be a £500 ish premium but they would not even give me a notional quote. The implication was that I had too many Morgans to be prepared to do a quote now and requote in May. Will I ring them again in May? I doubt it.
Think that’s fairly general amongst insurance companies. Whenever I have had quotes from comparison sites, they all seem to have a 28 day limit. I think because the insurance industry is a very “fluid” concept. Be good to try them again closer to the time as I think we are all keen to hear if this new initiative has any legs.
