Caterham did produce a limited edition retro Seven. It had a small-ish engine, narrow tyres etc , going back towards the original but obviously with some modern tech. Decent price too and they were quickly snapped up. I can't see Morgan going down that route. Return to a ladder chassis retro? The M3W was a step down that route but essentially too expensive compared to other 3-wheel competition. Judging by the numbers and prices of trads on sale the opportunity to own one is good but, where are the buyers? As CX cars increase as used then trad sales are only likely to stagnate, especially for run of the mill models.
