Actually, what AQM finished by saying is spot on. It is becoming more and more obvious to me, that not all cars, for whatever reason, have the same problems, and even when they do, those problems vary in severity from very minor and 'livable with' to "OMG that is really dangerous", and those who do not have problems cannot understand the fuss being made by those who do have the issues.

I think that those who are lucky enough, either not to have the issues, or who don't notice or mind putting up with them should actually take note that, people who complain, some more vociferously than others, are not doing it to be trouble makers or trolls or flamers, they are complaining because they have a genuine problem. There is no-one else to complain to, the factory seems to have adopted a policy of silence on these matters, sadly, so what else can folk do but discuss them here?

Please accept that there is a problem, bevel boxes appear to be changed under warranty, so that's great, but the problems caused by the bad suspension geometry isn't great. This is a modern car, designed in the age of CAD programs and with the benefit of current suspension thinking, so why should customers whose cars do not handle, have to put up with the handling of a vintage car, even though we like the look, sound and feel of the rest of the package. I have a faint suspicion that even the prewar 2 and 3 speeders with sliding pillar front suspension, did not jump around the road at every bump and pothole - Martyn?

If the car is fun to drive as it is, and it is, just think how much more fun it could be when the suspension works properly.

To refer back to the original poster, Crowbar, in his place, I would try the car up the road before taking delivery, and if I didn't like the way it handled, and he knows now what to look for, I would most likely attempt to reject it, if this is not possible, then assurances from MMC through his dealer would have to be sought as to the rectification of the problems, under warranty and for free.

My feeling is that he will actually wonder what all the fuss is about, when he slides down into his seat and sets off on his first drive. I certainly hope so.
