Not sure I quite agree..although not care is perhaps better expressed as "not interested".
The Ford position is "we sold you an engine that meets the published specification". That it wasn't optimal for the customer's application was not, in their view, their problem.
I can understand, they are a US public company without any sentiment.
BMW is a family owned and controlled business. They can afford to be indulgent. Would Ford have agreed to re-homologat a stock of unused Euro 5 motors? I doubt it.
Anyway, at least Morgan has developed, with your help, a re-map.
