All I did was test the new ECU in my roadster and feedback findings, and then retest.
I suspect BMW and any other manufacturer would take the same position as Ford if they had an engine that was not to be developed by themselves any further. Unless they were paid for the development and were able to support it, or they had some financial interest in the other manufacturer. Unfortunately unless there is a development partnership between a supplier and an end manufacturer then the manufacturer may be in the buy as it is position. I think this is held out by some of the other Ford ECU engine issues in the past in other models not just the Roadster.
I am not supporting Ford in this matter, or MMC just giving my thoughts on what I suspect happened.
