Phew, I haven't been panned so far.
Just as Dab says, I agree with the above, with one exception. When Matty says Morgan have the same problem as everyone else I would like to suggest otherwise.
Many years ago now I was in the market for a toy. Caterham was at the top of my list having run one years earlier. Not themselves without issues, but in my experience, better than Morgan. I looked at an upstart called Ariel, I met Simon Saunders and fell head over heels with the then fledgling Atom.....and then played safe and bought a Seven. I didn't regret my decision for one moment but watched with interest as Ariel developed and grew. Subsequently a friend and then an acquaintance have bought into the Atom experience and they are hooked.
The point I make is that a complete clean sheet upstart can make it. The engineering, the development, the detail and the passion is to be admired and applauded. I have actual owners to testify, this is not a fairy story. Perfect ? of course not, but in a different league. I now await a post from someone else decrying this, I can only report as I believe to be true.
Matty, I know exactly what you meant, and agree, but you allowed me the opportunity to make a point I'd been considering submitting as a separate post.
Maybe Simon Saunders has been lucky in the people he has around him, but having met him I would say he is a shrewd judge of the true passion of those he employs, and those just happy to clock off at five and collect a paycheque.
It can be done.
