Just thought I would give an update on the connector problem. I found the issue was well covered as a problem on the Talk Ford forum (which I joined). Picture 1 (from the forum) shows the connectors and the key parts that failed on my car. After endless searches to find a source including emails to OEMs Lucas and Bosch (both unanswered), Ford dealer, scrap yards, Ebay etc I finally tracked down a breaker who had the connectors (see Picture 2. Now waiting for them to be delivered. The Ford Forum says that fitting without breaking is a challenge!!. I will keep you informed
