Thanks everyone for their good wishes
Spent the day mopping and clearing up and just finished for the evening as its starting to get dark
No electricity yet but i have met a few electrical teams and they have to go to every house and business first to make sure it's safe or take fuses out so we have been told possibly tonight if they get around to everyone
I got the Morgan out of the garage and started it, had it running for about an hour with heater on full blast while I sponged the carpets
Engine ran fine but all the boards and carpet were sodden
Just put it back in a dryish and cleaned garage
When we get some power I'll put a fan heater under to dry it out some more
There doesn't seem to be much actual damage in the house we were just left with a muddy damp layer on all the floors which we have mopped clean several times
Luckily I've got Karndean flooring pretty much throughout and it doesn't seem to have lifted
Gas hob comes in handy so we can cook something for tonight's meal and Rachel has made it cosy with candles and tea lights so just about to open another bottle of red
