I made 2 shots coffee in the Nespresso machine, same coffee. One using the filtered, softened water we usually use and one using the hard water that comes out of the public water supply.
Water where we live comes out of the chalk aquifer about 400 feet down, and according to Wessex water, it is very hard but very biologically clean, so has the lowest amount of chlorine allowed.
The taste difference was amazing, hard water makes horrible coffee.....in comparison to our softened water.
