If one would be happy with an EV for 99% of their usage, and were only concerned about very occasional long-distance requirements, would it make sense simply to hire something on those occasions?
If I go on any sort of motoring holiday it's in the Morgan, so it's not an issue for me, but I shouldn't think it's too brutally expensive to hire a car for a week or two, especially when offset against the minimal running cost the rest of the year.
