Said it at the begining and happy to say it again (and happy to eat humble-pie if proved wrong🙂) .... but, when the political shouty stuff is over and the real experts have analysed the pandemic ... I would bet that demographics and personal health profiles (with some social/cultural input and some geographical good luck round the edges) will prove to have had a far greater influence on a given nation's pandemic impact than any actions taken by governments. (vaccines excepted as they are what will ultimately bring this under some sort of control )

The fact that numerous developed countries, highly organised and with world leading universal healthcare have suffered so badly .... while many developing countries with none of the above have had tiny death rates with no governmental intervention to speak of seems counter-intuitive

Play politics all you want, but I for one am expecting the real scientific analysis to be fascinating ... and maybe disquieting for western lifestyles.
