There are likely to be hospital cases for quite some time but reduced numbers. Those in there are likely to be from anti vaccination people, the small number that the vaccine fails to protect ( it is not 100% effective remember), those who blatantly ignore common sense on congregating and hygiene. As lockdown measures ease I expect to see outbreaks but hopefully containable and not require widespread further measures. Probable repeat vaccinations in the future as the protection level is learned and virus variants require vaccine modifications.
The future looks like we have to accept a risk level that leaves a manageable infection scenario. The question is ...How risk averse do you feel? What risk level do politicians feel acceptable?
