My last enquiry with Pickersleigh Rd was for a 5 speed propshaft for my 4/4 5 speed conversion - ' Yes, Mr Williams that will be £350 quid plus VAT"....
A local propshaft specialist made me one up for £70.
As I wrote, Arwyn, that is my biggest fear. Giving them parts sources to watch prices increase by a factor of 5. And I have seen increases as much as 50 with others. Up tothe end of Peter's control, the MMC was THE cheapest place to buy Morgan parts. I recall buying a new R380 from them for £910. But the following regime followed the pricing nuttiness of a prominent source the regime made a dealer.
If what you and I fear happens, I know the people I have gathered will withdraw support of this thing. I want them to make a profit. It is our best guarrantee of longevity but it must be done within the parameters of trad Morgan values.
Had they started up a support network of parts for the Aero chassis and parts supply for the M3W + SS engines it would have been a true service to the dedicated owners of these cars as all I am hearing is that MMC is sadly lacking in both areas.

It is a question of market size. There are likely 20,000+ trads on the road. Compare that to the Aero market. Current models, I imagine, will be supplied separately, as they are now, by current production. I can tell you that you CAN probably get Aero I wings soon, something that has not been possible for over 20 years.
The owners of Trads that do their own maintenance and repairs already know the helpful and cost effective suppliers of parts, anyone that doesn't only has to ask on our Forum to get the right answer.
I can argue with that. I give out or search for parts a dozen times a week, most find their way into forum thread. In my searches, I try to insist they are to be the RIGHT parts and reasonably priced. I constantly see other parts, from other cars, substituted, often when the original better part is available
cheaper if they looked. It's crazy. I know originality but I NOT a fanatic originalist personally,
my priorities as a long distance mogger are different. I offer the person asking various options if they exist. Retail prices vary by as much as 10-100 times cost these days. I can post examples. We need a central source for parts. The MMC is the best first venue.
They must have back as much of what we know as possible. We shall all set up a system for this.
