I heard on the radio driving to work this morning that the Detroit area picked up about one foot of the beautiful white stuff.

I love MI, but I can honestly say that I don't miss the white stuff. While there I made the best of it, but I don't need it to complete my day.

Here in St. Louis area, I think we got 4" total last year. The year before toward the end of winter we got 14" over 24 hours.

Down here if it snows 1" my 30 minute drive to work will take me over 2.5 hrs. Even if rains around here the cars slow down to around 45 mph.

When I lived in Midland I had about the same drive, about 24 miles. If we got 6" to 8" it would take me another 10 to 15 minutes, but that's it.

People down here are useless in any kind of road condition that is not a dry road. It sucks big time.

Good luck with your fluffy stuff Kirk... smile
