I considered taking a quick trip over to see mine come together, but the unpredictability of it all makes it not very practical to arrange.
I agree about it being about the specification. We were going to fly over and have a look at our car as it was nearing final assembly, luckily we did not do that because as it turned out we would have just been looking at a bare frame.
That's why I opted for the build book instead of a site visit.
