Dan, you need to try the UK to understand just how gruesomely hopeless most drivers are in anything other than 'typical' English weather. The entire country grinds to a halt under 1" of snow and the wet-liberal news reports warn people not to drive unless their lives depend on it. This makes people drive as if Armageddon is imminent and whatever tiny amount of driving common-sense they had disappears right out of the window. It really is very depressing indeed....

I fully agree, apart from the amount of snow required to bring Sussex to a halt - it's more like 0.1 inch
