As long as they do not charge another £1000,- for the additional time of the prolonged production process you should be happy. I learned MMC charges £1000,- for changes of the spec. (Is production timing a contract issue?)

How close to production start did you change spec.?
I placed an order last fall. Build start, week 23. Now; I placed an order for a basic car, with the intention to decide color and spec. within the 6 weeks, before building starts, and the order is locked. I´m not really in the mood to part with more of my hard earned, knowing that my build date is delayed by 10 weeks, meaning that I´m still about a year from any meaningful morganeering, here in "6-months-of-salt´n-sleet" Norway!
Hopefully MMC will give a heads up if all of a sudden they decide to deliver the car with a 650cc Suzuki engine, and a single front light...
