Thank you (not for the first time). Just found the thread and will get one of the recommended ones as my vehicle will be too far from a power source to use a conditioner.
I take it you are worried about the battery going flat? In which case I'd recommend a Battery Brain (or something similar) to disconnect the battery whilst it's not in use.
I've been using one for 4 years and there's no problem with the immobiliser or ECU. The remote control version allows easy use without having to take the bonnet/cowl off each time and it's much better for the battery to not be regulalry charged/discharged.
