Shame we can't use Nickel Iron (NiFe) batteries developed by Thomas Edison 120 years ago and ironically used in very early US electric cars. Non polluting, typical life is a minimum of forty years with some known to be still performing after over a hundred as in this pre WW1 Detroit Electric. Could be a weight issue of course
