Very interesting, it does seem that the charging network has greatly improved over the last year or so.
One thing that strikes me is the small change in the nature of motorway service stops. With an ICE car the sequence for me has always been
Park -> Go for a pee -> grab a coffee and a snack -> have a wander round to stretch the legs -> Return to car -> go to petrol station -> get back on motorway
With a BEV it's going to be
Park -> Plug into charger -> Go for a pee -> grab a coffee and a snack -> have a wander round to stretch the legs -> Return to car -> get back on motorway
It seems that the time difference is really not going to be that significant.
As for buying one, the economics make no sense for at the moment. When I can pick up a used BEV with c. 150mile range remaining for around £15k I'll bite, but until then our Fiat 500 has got loads of life in it and costs bugger all to run.
