My recently retired neighbour, a doctor, told me by phone today that he has a cough and sniffles but not a temperature so probably flu. I sincerely hope his self diagnosis is right.
"How did you get that" I enquired. He seemed surprised at my question. "Not sure" he replied saying that although he went to a newsagent, an Indian grocers and Morrisons (I suspect there were others) he had been wearing a mask.
In February he had warned me of the impending pandemic and that he and I probably wouldn't survive cos of underlying. I reminded him of this conversation and told him to put his tin helmet back on.......now!
Geof, That definitely trumps it but what the heck is the matter with these educated people, they seem to care far less than the general populace I think it's the arrogance myself.
