The current rules in Italy are that you do not have to wear a mask in the open unless you are near other people (except someone who lives in the same house) or in a closed public space: office, shop, hotel, etc. You can remove the mask in a restaurant or bar provided you maintain social distance, and the service providers must sanitise tables etc.

There are plenty of photos which show Miss Symonds in company with others without even the shadow of a mask.

The fact that BoJo was recently offensive towards Italy and Italians just puts the cherry on the cake. It has not gone unnoticed in Italy I can assure you. If you scroll back through this thread you will find that I was critical of overseas visitors to Italy that were not wearing masks. It is almost as though they believe that the virus takes a holiday break too! This is a typical example of what I have been on about. For me she should have had her holiday at Brighton or somesuch.

I would question the very selfish and arrogant attitude of people such as Miss Symonds who are prepared to disregard the well being of others. Even though she has had Covid and come out the other side it is not to say that she can not be reinfected and be a sane carrier. As I previously indicated a high number of new infections in Italy have been traced to tourists or Italians returning from other countries.

What are the laws in Italy about photographs of this nature taken without the subjects' consent?
