Isn't it long overdue that the elderly and vulnerable isolate and leave the rest to it? As others have said this isn't going away anytime soon and even with a vaccine there's no 100% guarantee.
Deaths are not the only issue with Covid19, it has neurological, respiratory and cardiac effects as well. This is tending to more common in younger people and could have significant long term issues.
We also need to consider the effect on health care staff who have to deal with Covid19 patients. They must be paranoid about transmitting the virus from patients to their friends and family.
