Indeed. I still think that many people believe we'll be able to carry on much as we are but just by changing to battery (or hydrogen for that matter) for their personal transport. The problem is, no one seems to have the courage to tell them just how much things are going to change over the next 10 years.

Absolutely, this is the big one for us older ICE car fans and the population at large, I am looking forward to the as yet un invented innovative bulk transportation solutions which will need to be developed and introduced quickly to have any meaningful effect on the environmental impact imho.

Personal vehicle ownership/usage has no place in the medium to long term future as I see it.
