It's painful.

I have always argued that public and commercial transport should be cleaned up first as it's these vehicles that run for greater hours per day than private transport (commuting etc), even the mighty Tesla seem to be having problems getting their trucks to market. Other manufacturers are however targeting these market places.

Next time you are in your side screen less Morgan get a good lungfull of a truck or bus exhaust, and smile when the courier sits on you road with his transit van sat there chugging away.

Private buyers tend to be faced with a top end market with luxury models being the ones that help manufacturers transition, thankfully cheaper brands have come on line but there is no price parity with ICE cars pricing, I doubt they'll have much wiggle room unless produced in cheaper labour markets so to get parity I expect to see the price of ICE cars to raise so the manufacturer's can justify the price of EVs.
