Shouldn’t be too long now HB, mine was 21 days from collection to return. It was supposed to be delivered back on a Monday, waited in all day and zilch. Aaaaaaargh – don’t you love it when that happens. Contacted Acumen who were full of apologies and promised to have it there the following day. The following morning we were sat having breakfast and bingo the wanderer returns.

Finished our Cornflakes and then it was off for a blast to the Lake District (from North Yorkshire) on a test run. Just as we were passing Tan Hill (highest pub in England) the Memsahib pipes up “tad rattly don’t you think Sir P” and after investigation found all the bolts holding the bonnet on were loose!

I put it down to all that Bollinger those chaps in Malvern must drink – given the amount of money they charge for their cars.

Been back about ten days now and after lots more runs out is starting to win us over again with its charms. It’s such a shame, underneath the reliability problems is a great car trying to get out.

Like you we had all sorts planned this year in the Morgan. Now cancelled two trips abroad, one for the lack of brakes and the other due to the fact I have lost confidence in it getting much further than our Parish boundaries before something else going wrong. Suppose we will have to follow in Peters footsteps and get a Porsche although having said that some of the comments regarding replacement engines makes you wander about those. Pity they don’t still make Jowetts, now there was a car.
