I always leave mine in gear when parked anyway, just in case the handbrake fails, or the passenger knocks the flyoff handle...

I asked a local workshop if they could make them. They were a bit concerned about the steel required and the heat treatment. They have obviously been hardened after machining.
There are other workshops near by but as I need one as a pattern I haven't yet approached them.

The Jowett parts list shows them as "Drawlink 481841" but I haven't yet found them elsewhere.
The Rover P4 has a similar Drawlink but without the twist.

And yes I always leave it in gear when parked.
