At one stage Queensland in Australia did not use "Summer Time". We used to joke that Queenslanders were afraid that the extra hour of daylight would fade the curtains. sunny

Certainly a lot of rural people worried about the change in time for the animals, milking the cows, feeding the chickens etc. It really didn't seem to occur to them that the animals would adapt faster than they would. farmer
