Remind me of a story I heard years ago. A lady repeatedly complained to the garage that her car would not run smoothly when warm. After checking everything several times the mechanic said take me out and show me the problem. So the lady got in pulled out the choke and hung her handbag on it!!! Problem solved!
Some years ago a lad took his girlfriend and two others for a flight taking off from Southend (SND) airport as the aircraft started to lift the pilot's girlfriend pulled out the carb heat and hung her handbag on it, the aircraft crashed (due to reduced power) fortunately nobody was seriously hurt.
