I've been following the way this post has developed since I first pressed the submit button. It's been a fascinating experience.
A cathartic one at first, then trepidation as to whether I will be panned or not. Relief when the majority agree, followed by a degree of guilt when others rightly point out the many good bits and that credit needs to be given where due. We all moan readily, praise comes harder and I am as prone as anybody to this. As a result I happily allowed my mindset to swing in favour of the pros and employ the oft mentioned earplugs and just smile.
Then I read the "New 3 wheeler for New Zealand" thread and came crashing back down to earth with a bump. It took me back to the very essences of my original post. These opportunities to own a Morgan can be the result of years of waiting, saving, planning, and above all anticipation. When, at the peak of anticipation and expectation you discover your repeated attempts to convey what you actually want, and have probably already payed for have seemingly been ignored it is potentially devastating to the ownership experience.
The second of those original essences for me was that were I to let down my customers, however inadvertently, rarely would I be given a second chance. It was drummed in to me many years ago, and many times since, "listen to your customer, really listen". Understand what is required to fulfil their needs, after all, happy customers often return. The magic word here is communication, it's a two way street. Assumption and a that'll do attitude isn't good enough.
What really baffles, and fascinates me is just how do Morgan keep getting away with it ? They've had more than a century to hone the process after all.
Look at it another way, and many other posts can be pulled in here, but as my father drilled into me, "get it right first time" Always cheaper in the long run. Then how much more secure and or successful could Morgan possibly be ?
That's it, I feel better again now, until someone makes start to feel guilty again.

P.S Talk Morgan has proved to be an absolute godsend, I cannot praise it highly enough. Addictive stuff.
