David,

Hope you are having better weather than we are in the Lakes. It has been absolutely lashing down all through the night and on and off all morning so far. Thank goodness for John Taylor's excellent waterproof covers. Good luck with your trip home. If you can manage to stay on the move over 50 or 60mph you'll be fine with your roof down.

Jim,

Same for you on Thursday. We've got 225 miles home to Northants on Thursday so fingers crossed for at least some decent weather.

Notwithstanding that I have to say the new hood on my Plus Four is excellent. Much better then my Plus 4 or Roadster. It rained pretty hard for practically the whole journey up here ten days ago so we had to have the hood up. Got completely drowned by a juggernaut coming the other way through a flood on the way and not a drop came in.

What ever the weather I'm sure you will have a great first trip.
