Intended to stop at the Black Venus inn at Challacombe (16th centrury pub) but it was now lunch time and busy, the regulars had beaten us to it, so onward to Simonsbath and a stop for tea at the recently re-opened tea shop, onward once more via the B3223/B3224 to Weddon cross. Turned left at Weddon Cross onto the A396 to Dunster past its fine castle and finally back onto the A39 and home.. Its a nice gentle 3-4 hr circular drive with a tea stop, its mostly good driving roads, the B roads over Exmoor are a joy for views and mostly not populated too much by tourists. If you ever come this way the roads over Exmoor were made for a morgan.. better still in Spring and Autumn.
We are signed up again for the Minehead Motor Club tour of Exmoor on Sunday 18th August, usually covering similar territory. As you say, great roads for Morgans and any classic car come to that.
