'what's the lowest you'll take for it' is surely human nature..
To me, it just invites the response "What's the highest you'll go? I've told you what I want."
But yeah, the classic car market is declining, and a car's value next year will be lower than it is this year. Much the best to treat them as a hobby not an investment.
