From a northern prospective, before you make the decision on the best way forward...have you answered the basic home truth can you still get in and out of a short door Morgan, and come to that a long door Morgan, it might just influence the decision making process! Best of luck with what ever route you take, quite a interesting opportunity of doing continental journeys, just make sure comfort is part of the solution as our resilience tends to subside as we age.
I openly admit I would struggle with a short door today, which was no problem for me 30 nearly 40 odd. years ago, I struggle with a long door following a fall a few years ago, and know at some point before long within a few years I may have to call my trad Morgan day as over I shall enjoy it whilst I can and then move onto the next adventure/chapter, just being a practical and pragmatic northerner.
All the best.
