Well all that was a bit of a thermal runaway! Understanding why anyone buys a Morgan is mission impossible enough, but the mindset of newer is better, or more technically is better, totally misses the point. If that were true, how do you explain the first generation three wheeler group. Why didn't they all sell up and buy a modern three wheeler? (Rhetorical).
The idea that Trad owners should trade up regularly, to get more bells and whistles, as happens with other high end brands is not what most Morgan buyers have done historically.
Morgan can only take a limited number of current owners forward based on cost alone. They must hope that there are enough buyers in the £100k plus bracket to buy a years production, and then the next year. Let's hope it works out.
