I agree with you Ruut at this costing. With four gaping silver apertures I did soon get used to it in my 4/4 Sport for 24,000 mls and then one day the handbrake cable rusted through and the rear of the car nerfed into the neighbours Merc. He was really good and I polished it out for him. The plastic number plate holder on the Sport was soon fixed at home.
I normally always leave any car in gear when leaving it - the cable failed at the year mark.
