We do not have the Morgan agents here that are everywhere else, and in Western Australia it can be 200 - 400km between towns.

I believe the rules for imported vehicles in America are a little different, and dont have the same stringent import requirements that we have. I found this out with my Mazda, as it had a recall in the states because the manafacturer is responsible for issues as they occur and they have to fix all vehicles up. In Australia the warranty works a little different because they only fix your car if it breaks they dont have to notify all owners it is an issue. Not sure if this applies to low import number vehicles like the M3W in the US.

If I was buying a low production bespoke type vehicle, I would not have stumbled onto this site, it would have probably be the first place I found with a good old fashioned Google.

These issues have been around for 2 and a half years, the fact people still keep buying the car even though there are enough warnings out there says something. Had people stopped and refused to purchase faulty goods, something may have happened sooner.

If you dont think the car is sound, then dont buy the bloody thing its not rocket science. Dont blame it on the salesman or on the factory propaganda, blame it on your lack of research. soapbox

Unfortunately a lot of prospective buyers will be unaware of TM and most "non Morgan" websites generally say how great the M3W is. Top Marks to Z for starting this thread and tempting other M3W owners to express their true feelings on M3W ownership.

Personally buying anything new from MMC at a premium price then having to spend numerous trips to a dealer to "get it fettled" is not something I'm up for.

At these prices I expect the car to be 100% sorted when it's handed over and if it fails the dealer moves heaven and earth to keep me happy, most of them want my money again and again.

BTW my ownership of a pre owned Mk1 Roadster was trouble free other than it losing coolant in the garage due to several of the "high tech" jubilee clips needing regular "tweaking" . It did mist up the gauges and the hood leaked , but "they all do that" and added something to the ownership experience :-))
