Perhaps one of you Gents near the factory could initiate a class action law suit on behalf of all owners. Certainly it would be easier for someone in the same region to accomplish this rather than someone on the other side of the world.
This is what I fear the most. Not to be disrespectful to those that practice law or to complain about the size of someone's rice bowl. A lawsuit will not serve MMC or us well. Attorneys would do quite well. But we still may not have what we bought. A celebration of heritage, technology and design. Reliability should be included, without us having to demand it.
