Has anyone been contacted by MMC or a dealer to have their M3W inspected yet? I don't mean after you have contacted them about it but a letter or email requesting you to get your car checked. My car is a 2013 one, so comes within the group for the recalls, I have not been contacted by anyone yet. I have contacted one dealer but had no reply but thats another story. I know other early car owners and none of them have been contacted either. As the TM monitoring M3W owners only consists of a fairly low percentage of owners, probably less than 10% are listed here, I don't think that a post on TM from MMC about a recall is all that is needed to get to most of the cars involved.

I am aware that my car has the later pedal box and a 2015 chassis now, so no actual panic about getting it checked. I doubt that MMC are aware of the mod state of my car and it would be nice to get a real recall letter or email. I would be very interested to hear if anyone has had one.

You ask some very important questions planenut. I am sure there are many M3W owners who are now looking at TM for information, background and direction even if they have not formally registered. A quick check of "Morgan" Facebook pages finds the post 2011 3 wheeler group has the recall (seen by 118) but I saw no reference to the recall on some other sites.
Nothing on the MMC web site under NEWS or the 3 WHEELER MEDIA CENTRE that I could find at the time.

I have seen one recent newsletter from a Morgan dealer but it makes no reference to the Recall or mentions it in the advertising blurb for a used 2014 M3W (they did however respond promptly on the issue when asked).

Judging by the response provided by Mark Evans in " Cracked and bent chassis" (October 2018) answering question 3, this may be problematic

3) How many pre January 2014 await checking and or repair? This is more difficult to answer, obviously we sent letters via the DVLA database, but we didn't necessarily have all customer addresses for overseas owners, in that instant each dealer was informed of each vehicle (by chassis number) they had sold that required checking. Additionally a formal network bulletin was issued instructing dealers to check cars while in for the annual service.

(I could repost the entire item but will spare you all from the ensuring teary tantrums...)

ps,I forgot Twitter - may be worth contacting stray M3W owners that way
