One would have hoped /expected that to have been dealt with at the same time. Oh well out to the shed to see if it has been done.
So was the brake pedal modification done when your car was with MMC for the chassis repairs Elcyd? You would have expected it to be done as all the dealers were made aware of the brake and chassis recall when the message from MMC was originally put on this forum back in June. They must be aware to check every car that they see, that comes into the inspection category? There was talk of the brake linkage weld being inspected and the new link pin only being fitted if they thought the weld was not complete. The feedback from those that have had the pedal link fitted is that it improves the brake pedal feel, as well as making the linkage failsafe. I hope they are fitting the modification to all the old "M3W" type pedal boxes, no matter what the condition of the weld. MMC has "only" taken a bit over a year to organise this part of the recall but I suppose they are not very familiar with what is required.
