I put a similar journey (Clapham Common to Redruth in Cornwall) into my EV planner.... leaving Clapham (home) with a 100% charge.

I would get to the Lifton Supercharger with 24% charge remaining - charge for 6 minutes taking it from 24% to 41% charge (£3.41 cost) and arriving at Redruth with 20% charge remaining. Total cost (one way) £3.41 and total charging time, 6 minutes. I have found in my ownership that the planner is unerringly accurate.

The same journey in my Range Rover would be roughly £130 and if not refuelling then 6 minutes quicker assuming I didn't need to stop to use the loo.



Neilda, I think your figures demonstrate just how far ahead Tesla are of VW (in which Andrew English made his trip).
The biggest surprise he seems to have had is the range dropping off in the first few miles - from 300+ to sub 200.
