Something to do with the cost of parts and the delays, apparently if they are damaged it can take weeks and the insurance company has to fork out for a hire car.
Does that sound true? I've never heard it before.
He was also muttering about the cost of tyres.

Insurance broker said the same but in the end only £700 odd a year, business use and parked overnight on a drive without a tracker. LV and DirectLine similar amounts when checked online. Heard that about the tyres as well but again £79-£130 depending on brand. Tesla 3 Long range. This of course could be very expensive to what he is used to? If he has an X or S then maybe.
