It's Covid that has achieved far more for the tree huggers than any Governmental legislation concerning the ICE to be totally honest in a realistic way. Lots of drivers have died as a result leave alone those reasons mentioned below.

Air transport, cruises and general travel has been significantly culled, perhaps they need to think about prohibitive taxes on such things in the long term... I wouldn't have a problem with it, as with every decision if I can't afford it I don't do it.
