Oh yes. After 16 days cruising down the Danube from Budapest to the Black Sea & back the difference to a stately 15 knots was stunning. Grintastic!!

The Danube rose dramatically whilst we were on the cruise on day 1 the banks are clear at Budapest .

on the last the river is broaching the embankment. By the time we left if was flooding the lower embankment path & our boat was told they couldn't sail up river for at least 2 days as Austria has stopped all navigation.

I feel sorry for the people on the Danube as I understood Linz is already flooded.
