Mike they are stainless with the enclosed ends so you don't destroy your shins on them unlike my earlier 94 Plus 8.

I guess they would chrome ok but not into that sort of stuff but others on here are and will be along soon.

p.s, It may be worth having a word with a few dealers as there was a vogue a while back for removing bumpers and sticking over riders on instead - imho I think they wanted to mimic the newer models
