How do you manage 27mpg? I got 16 mpg on the last tank full and thats driving like Mother Teresa. OK there's a bit more power but not that much to account for the difference.




Not something I will repeat in a hurry anywhere, I am usually very cautious about stuff like this.

Surprised you are getting low mpg, my F355 spider regularly returned 22-24mpg and I didn't hang around in it. The Testarossa was good for 20mpg, but plummeted to 10 on a track day.


I was a bit surprised too! I thought it might be weight but its mid way weight wise between the 355 and the TR. About 100 bhp more than either and a different engine so maybe thats the reason. Mind you most of the time I drive in auto which leaves me in 6th gear at 2500 rpm.

The official factory figure is 18mpg and they are never pessimistic are they? In the end the fuel for maybe 2000 miles pa wont break the bank
