We went out this morning for a semi-elicit run through the New Forest, ariving at Eyeworth Pond where we went out for a walk. Social distancing was easy, as we didn't see another human, at all!

Eyeworth pond was created in the mid 1800s by the Schultz Powder Works, it is in the middle of nowhere, ideal should something go wrong!

Driving through the forest it was clear that the animals have got used to the lack of traffic, we saw far more of the ponies, cows, piigs and sheep tha is normal. Also quite a number of 2 wheeled MAMILs...!!
Walking through the woods was a delight: normally at this time of year a Sunday morning would be very busy.
Sadly, of course, our favourite pub, the Royal Oak at Fritham was closed for the duration.

On the way back we called by at Les Mirabelles, our favourite restaurant. Claude, Chief - Patron was there and we chatted, he is expecting to re-open in August. Like us he and his team have found the break a welcome interlude in an otherwise hectic life.

It was good to get out and spend time burbelling through the Forest. It was also fun to come back up the A36, where we blew the cobwebs away!
